Kathy Gregg's bio:

Creating with clay became my passion in 2000, but I have been incorporating faces in my work all my life. The anthropomorphic expressions have also been a constant. I am, in the clay world, a slab builder. My favorite way to finnish my work is wood firing. This is a lengthy process of loading the kiln then keeping the kiln firing for 5 days by constantly stoking with wood. The resulting natural wood-ash glaze on the pieces is the story of the fire, unique, inticate, and beautiful. I am greatfull for the privilege of creating and hope my work imparts the wonder of that moment.
